OUR HISTORY / TIMELINE
HUMBLE beginnings1940s
The company was established in late 1940's by Patrick Mullaney and his son John primarily to transport rope, waste material and scrap metal from various mils and factories throughout local areas.
THE SURGE IN SCRAP METAL1960s & 70s
The seventies saw the company move into purchasing skip wagons and accompanying stocks of skips to cope with increasing volumes of scrap metal processing.
£5M INVESTMENT1990s & 2000s
Over the recent years of 1990s and 2000 P Mullaney & Sons has seen a £5 million investment programme in the company with the introduction of higher capacity 'Liebherr' machines replacing the faithful O&K traditional machinery.
THE 20ft container tilter ARRIVES 2012
In 2012 the 20ft container tilter arrived enabling the company to move into direct exports.
THE FIRST WAGON1950s
1952 saw the purchase of the first wagon which would take scrap metal to local foundries and steel works.
THE NEW WAGONS HIT THE ROAD1980s
'Roll on Roll off' vehicles2004
2004 was the year of the first purchase of 'Roll on Roll off' vehicles to once again cope with our increased capacity.
